Illinois Energy Rebates 2023
Residents of Illinois who have received their energy disconnection or notice of disconnection will have an opportunity to apply for the Illinois Energy Rebates 2023. They need to hit the deadline for applications and qualify for the eligibility requirement.
In a published article in the Washington Examiner, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) began accepting applications for the following:
- Households with seniors 60 years old and over
- Households with disabled people
- Families with children under 6 years old

When to Apply for the Illinois Energy Rebates 2023?
According to a published article in the GAZETTE, LIHEAP started accepting applications on October 2 but the applications will open again to those who have received a warning or have had their utilities disconnected on November 1.
Furthermore, they need to fall below certain income thresholds to qualify:
- For a household of one, the maximum monthly income is $2,430
- For a household of four, the maximum income is $5,000
- The maximum monthly income for a household of six is $6,713
Moreover, an amount of $237 million to eligible families in 2024 will be issued bu the Help Illinois Families program which is running the program.
