Selling used graphic cards became a large problem in China. Recently, 22 Chinese people were engaging in this crime.
The VideoCardz and ITHome reported that there was a group in China that sold used graphic cards and had made this into an operating business. Their illegal steps include buying, cleaning, testing, packaging, and selling the used graphics cards.
There exists in China a high demand for graphic cards which led some to do illegal business transactions. This kind of business owner purchased in bulk quantity relatively new GPUs and converted these to look brand new.
It is very difficult to identify used graphic cards sold as brand new because of the new packaging.
Avoiding how to buy used graphic cards sold as brand new created a huge problem in China.
Used Graphic Cards As An Illegal Business
The cryptocurrency that was popular before in China lost in value and had been replaced by graphic cards.
Recently, police discovered that 22 people in China were engaging in this kind of illegal business.
These business owners had been followed by authorities for almost a year until they were busted in the Bincheng district of Binzhou City.
Out of 22, only 7 individuals were arrested that alleged to be directly involved in the selling of used graphic cards. These 7 people faced criminal charges.
Based on that operation, authorities reported to have been confiscated worth $2 million graphic cards.
