According to the North Charleston Police Department, a student has been charged in connection with a stabbing at Stall High School on Monday afternoon.

North Charleston Police Department Reported a Student as Responsible for the Stabbing
According to North Charleston Police Department spokesperson Harve Jacobs, a student thought to be responsible for the stabbing was apprehended. The student was arrested and charged with possessing a weapon on school grounds. According to the Charleston County School District, a pupil was hospitalized as a result of the stabbing.
According to a message sent to parents, one of the students attacked another with a knife during a fight in the corridor. In a note to parents, Principal Steve Larson stated that he cannot go into much more detail about the event, but he can report that EMS transported one kid and that the second student involved was swiftly detained by local authorities. He feels that this incident was caused by an earlier contact involving one of the individuals involved; it was not a random or school-wide threat. Larson has stated that the school will stick to the disciplinary procedures that have been established by the district to adequately address the situation. He indicated that the school will host an eLearning day on Tuesday to allow the staff to meet to review any information that may be pertinent, discuss any additional protocols that may be required for Wednesday, and give on-demand mental health help to anyone who may require it.
Monday and Tuesday after-school activities have been canceled. The note given to parents made no mention of either student’s name or age. According to the North Charleston Police Department, the investigation is ongoing.
