A Collegeville man shot his mother and brother to death at his home. He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder after the fatal shooting.
Two Counts Of Murder After Fatal Shooting
SOURCE– Aaron Deshong, 49, allegedly shot his mother and brother to death at his home last Sunday. The suspect called the FBI to report the fatal shooting incident. Aaron Deshong did not trust the local police. He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and related offenses in the shooting at 747 Gravel Pike in Perkiomen Township. The local police were called to the home around 5 p.m. after learning that the suspect had called the FBI to report what he had done.
The police arrived on the scene and took Aaron Deshong into custody in his garage while he was still on the phone with the FBI. When entering the house they found Wanda Deshong and Adam Deshong both dead on the kitchen floor, 74 and 53-year-old respectively. Autopsies examined and determined both deaths were homicide.
SOURCE– Aaron Deshong told the FBI that he had been on edge since his father’s death. The detectives entered his bedroom and found a 38-caliber revolver registered in his name with four fired shell casings in its cylinder in the closet. He has purchased the gun in 2004.
Aaron Deshong is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Detectives did not share any other information about the fatal shooting.
