Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Gianni Clark, Washington-Fremont basketball



Washington-Fremont basketball player Gianni Clark is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Dec. 30-Jan. 4.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Clark finished with 40.54% of the vote. Amador Valley basketball player Jaylen Smith took second and Branham basketball player Cole Taylor was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Clark made 11 of his 19 field-goal attempts and totaled 25 points to lead Washington to a 64-45 win over American.
