On January 6, 2025, at approximately 1:00 AM, Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators responded to a shooting at a residence located at 2423 William Tell Street in North Houston. Authorities were dispatched after a woman called 911, reporting that her two sons, 17-year-old Jose Juan Angel Rosales and 19-year-old Andres Rosales, had been shot.
Upon arrival, deputies found the 17-year-old with a gunshot wound to the leg, in stable condition, while the 19-year-old was discovered unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other teenage male friends of the brothers, as well as the parents, were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Investigators interviewed everyone at the scene, and it was revealed that one of the friends, also a juvenile, was responsible for the shooting. The juvenile claimed the incident was an accident and was later released to his mother.
The deceased teen was removed from the house by the Medical Examiner’s Office, and an autopsy is scheduled. The wounded teen remains hospitalized and is in fair condition.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has been notified, and the Juvenile Division has requested the Homicide Lead Investigator to present the case later this week to determine if any charges will be filed against the shooter. The investigation is ongoing.
