Saquan Williams Sentenced to Prison Despite Defense Claims
According to DC Witness, Saquan Williams received his sentencing to serve in prison for a total of 35 years last Thursday, September 14.
During the sentencing, although it wasn’t read aloud in the courtroom. The Defense wrote a letter that discussed Saquan Williams’ good work in the rehabilitation and a good mediator at the detention facility. During the time of Saquan William’s rehab, he was in pursuit of a college degree.
Thus, Saquan Williams’s defense team urged the Judge to consider Williams’ age when he committed the crime, when he was only 16 years old. However, the judge reminded the court that youth is not an excuse to commit a crime and dismissed the defense’s claims.

Street Gang Fight Leads to Conviction of Saquan Williams for First-Degree Murder and Other Charges
According to the US DOJ, Saquan Williams participated in a street gang fight in 2017, where Mr. Carl Hardy became a victim.
Saquan Williams allegedly conspired with Quincy Gavin and was found guilty of first-degree murder while armed, participation in a criminal slaying in a street gang fight, and other charges related to the shooting.
