The actors turned to Instagram to apologize for any hurt caused by their writing support letters, stating that they had no intention of hurting anyone.

In the recent published article by The Hollywood Reporter,  the couple said in the video they released on Instagram on Saturday that they were of the pain that has been caused by the character letters that they wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson and that they support the victims.

They added that Masterson’s family contacted them a few months ago and requested them to write letters, which led them in writing support letters  to represent the person they had known for 25 years so that the judge may take that into account while sentencing him.

Kutcher and Kunis’ apology follows the release of their character letters for Masterson, who was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for raping two women in 2003.

According to Yahoo Entertainment, several individuals criticized the pair online for writing support letters, which has persisted in the aftermath of their apology video.

Writing support letters were written following the release of Masterson’s guilty judgment and in the months preceding the judge’s decision on his sentence.
