Zariah Green charged with murder in fatal shooting of man at Sugar Valley Supermarket


HOUSTON, TX – Charges have been filed against Zariah Nicole Green, 21, for the fatal shooting of a male victim at a convenience store located at 3135 Akard Street. The incident occurred around 6:05 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20.

According to the Houston Police Department Homicide Division, officers arrived at the scene and found the 21-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Investigators identified Green as the suspect and located her nearby. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, a murder charge was accepted. Green was subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail and is charged with murder in the 482nd State District Court.
