HOUSTON, TX – A narcotics deal turned violent late Saturday night, leaving one individual dead and another critically injured.
The incident occurred around 11:10 p.m. in the 10600 block of Jordan Heights, where two individuals met for a narcotics transaction. During the deal, both produced firearms and exchanged gunfire.
One victim, a Black male in his late teens, was transported from the scene to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
The second victim, a Hispanic male in his late teens, left the scene in a vehicle driven by his sister. They flagged down officers near Little York at a gas station. Officers administered aid, but Houston Fire Department crews pronounced him deceased at the scene. The victim was found next to the driver’s side of a white vehicle.
Both parties involved have been accounted for, either in custody, at the hospital, or deceased.
