Elon Musk eyeing record-breaking $100 million Palm Beach penthouse minutes away from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago

Elon Musk eyeing record-breaking $100 million Palm Beach penthouse minutes away from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago

During the 2024 election campaign, the camaraderie between Elon Musk and Donald Trump garnered significant attention. Now, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO is reportedly eyeing a luxury property in Palm Beach, Florida, further cementing his ties to the president-elect. The rumored acquisition would place Musk just minutes away from Trump’s iconic Mar-a-Lago estate, where Musk has become a regular visitor

A lavish penthouse with a history

Local speculation centers on Musk’s interest in purchasing the penthouse formerly owned by Sydell Miller, the late beauty mogul and founder of Matrix Essentials. Located atop the Bristol Palm Beach building, the sprawling 19,000-square-foot penthouse was initially purchased by Miller for $42.56 million in 2019. Reports suggest Musk is prepared to make an offer exceeding $100 million, potentially breaking all real estate records in West Palm Beach.

Sources familiar with the deal indicate that Miller’s family is considering Musk’s offer. Described as “fit for a king,” the penthouse has become a sought-after property in an area favored by billionaires, including Wall Street financiers and real estate magnates.

A permanent Palm Beach presence?

Musk’s frequent appearances at Mar-a-Lago, including celebrations of Trump’s November 5 election victory and Thanksgiving with the Trump family, highlight his growing affinity for the area. If completed, the purchase would mark a significant addition to Musk’s real estate portfolio and could further solidify his influence in Trump’s inner circle.

Miller’s lasting legacy

The Bristol penthouse isn’t the only property Miller left behind. Another Palm Beach mansion, La Reverie, was sold earlier this year to hedge fund billionaire Steven Schonfeld for $111 million. Known for its grandeur, La Reverie boasts unique features like a private bowling alley and ice cream stand, emphasizing the legacy of opulence Miller left in the region.

As Musk reportedly considers this move, questions arise about how his proximity to Mar-a-Lago might shape his relationship with Trump and his role in the upcoming administration.
