How to watch on TV and streaming

The San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs at 1:25 p.m. PDT on Sunday, Oct. 20 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

It’s a rematch of Super Bowl LVIII when quarterback Patrick Mahomes rallied the Chiefs to an overtime win. This early season matchup shouldn’t have too many implications on who’s going to this year’s Super Bowl, says Trent Williams. But a win for the 49ers would be sweet and considering the team hasn’t beaten the Chiefs in a decade.

Brock Purdy will again have his hands full with Chiefs’ defensive star Chris Jones, but he’ll have  help from first-round draft pick Ricky Pearsall who will play for the first time after he was shot on Aug. 31.

How to watch on local TV

FOX is broadcasting the game nationally; in the Bay Area, tune in to KTVU-TV (channel 2) with an antenna or a cable TV provider. You can also log in to the FOX Sports app or website with your cable TV subscription credentials.

How to stream

DirecTV Stream includes Fox in its lineup. Subscriptions currently start at $74.99 per month.

FuboTV offers a free trial and $20 off the first month; after that, it is $79.99 per month.

Hulu+Live TV is a premium service with all the local channels and starts at $76.99 per month.

NFL+ is a streaming service that includes all local games. Plans start at $6.99 per month.
