Rudy Giuliani to Plead Not Guilty of Fulton County Case

According to the report from CBS, Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, will waive arraignment and enter a not guilty plea in the Fulton County Case in Georgia, according to his spokesperson and political advisor, Ted Goodman.

Rudy Giuliani surrendered to authorities with charges relating to the Fulton County Case on August 23 and was released on a $150,000 bond.

Currently, Giuliani is facing 13 charges related to the Fulton County Case, in which 19 people, including Giuliani and the former president, tried to overturn the 2020 U.S. presidential election with fraudulent business dealings.

Trump’s Fulton County Case

The Washington Post reports that Rudy Giuliani became the fifth defendant to plead guilty following the former president.

Trump also faces 13 counts in the Fulton County Case, including the state’s racketeering act, soliciting a public officer to violate their oath, and conspiring. However, the former U.S. president denied his wrongdoing in the Fulton County Case.

Finally, five of the defendants in the Fulton County case have waived formal arraignments, as appearing at arraignment is optional for Georgia defendants. Attorney Brian Tevis also stated that 99% of defendants would choose to waive formal arraignment if the judge allows it.
