The US is preparing for war with China. President Joe Biden is undermining the “One China” policy that has been the cornerstone of US-China relations since 1979 by cozying up to Taiwan and arming it to the teeth.

South Korea and Japan are being enlisted by the Biden administration to encircle China. The United States military is engaging in provocative military activities that aggravate the crisis in the South China Sea. Biden is inflaming tensions with China and heightening the risk of nuclear war in the Asia-Pacific region. Furthermore, Republican presidential hopefuls are fanning the embers of war with China.

In the recent published article by Truthout, in March, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines referred to China as the “leading and most consequential threat to U.S. national security.” Chinese President Xi Jinping stated, “Western countries — led by the United States — have implemented all-round containment, encirclement, and suppression against us.”

According to Peter Kuznick, professor of history and director of the Nuclear Studies Institute at American University, the Biden administration has “doubled down on the most insanely bellicose aspects of Trump administration policies, particularly over Taiwan, which the US has long recognized as part of China.”

Taiwan produces more than 90 percent of the world’s most advanced microchips. The chips are used to run our smartphones, train AI systems, and guide missiles. To hinder China access to the software technology and equipment needed to create breakthrough semiconductors, the Trump administration put high tariffs on Chinese imports.

Biden has frequently emphasized that if China attacks Taiwan, the US will use military force to defend it. Taiwan has received $619 million in high-tech armaments from the Biden administration.

According to Voices, as per to media reports, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III recently stated that “the 2016 Arbitral Tribunal Ruling is binding on all parties” and that “the Mutual Defense Treaty extends to Philippine public vessels, aircraft, and armed forces in the Pacific, including those of its Coast Guard” in the South China Sea. And Vice Admiral Karl Thomas, Commander of the United States Navy’s Seventh Fleet, recently stated that the deployment of water canons by the Chinese Coast Guard on a Philippine vessel “must be challenged and checked,” as well as “assuring the Philippines of US support.”

Senior Colonel Wu, the spokesperson, reiterated China’s undeniable sovereignty over the Nansha Islands and nearby waterways, including the Ren’ai Jiao. Relevant Philippine actions violated China’s sovereignty and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC). The responses of the China Coast Guard are legitimate, legal, professional, and standard.
