The Laurel Police Chief, Tommy Cox, said that it is hard to attract personnel nowadays. So, the Laurel Police Department used a new technique about how they could tap into a market that they have not done before.
The Laurel Police Department aims to attract former Laurel officers back into the profession. Back then, the Laurel Police Department did not utilize any part-time officers. Instead, the Laurel Police Department has reserve officers who are unpaid and do a couple of events for the department. The Laurel Police Department has three people who are going to work a minimum number of shifts every month.
The Laurel Police Department has already employed 53 full-time officers. As of now, The Laurel Police Department is looking for more full-time, part-time, and booking officers. The Laurel Police Department is welcoming you to apply and be one of them. The civil service exam was scheduled for September 16.
