HAYWARD — A 20-year-old local resident has been charged with a felony count of distributing explicit pictures and video of his ex-girlfriend from high school, court records show.
Eric Flores, of Hayward, was charged in late September with one count felony charge of possessing and/or distributing child pornography, and one misdemeanor count of distributing an image of a body part to cause distress, court records show. He has been released on $50,000 while the case is pending, but ordered to stay away from minors and the alleged victim.
Flores is set to enter a plea on Friday, records show.
The case was reported to San Leandro police earlier this year, after the alleged victim, a woman, told authorities she learned that photos and videos she had shared with Flores were uploaded to a pornographic website. She said she hadn’t shared them with anyone but Flores, nor did she expect anyone else would view them, according to police.
Flores was later called to the police department to make a statement, and admitted to uploading the pictures, and that he knew that they depicted a teen girl, according to court records. He was arrested after the police interview, booked into Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, and charged the following day.
