Santana Row in San Jose lands cosmetics store and top-level restaurant

SAN JOSE — Santana Row has landed more merchants, including a cosmetics store, a top-level restaurant and a pop-up car dealership store as the San Jose mixed-use neighborhood maintains a recent hot streak.

Bluemercury, a cosmetics and beauty store; Augustine, a top-level restaurant; and Porsche NOW, a pop-up vehicle store, have signed leases within Santana Row, a destination hub of shops, restaurants, housing, offices, entertainment hubs, hotel facilities and open spaces in west San Jose.

Here are some details about the new merchants, according to information provided by Federal Realty Investment Trust, the principal owner and developer of Santana Row:

— Bluemercury, a luxury beauty store, has pioneered a “client-first service model that emphasizes hyper-personalized, high-quality beauty interaction.”

— Augustine aims to provide a “chef-driven dining concept with deep local roots.” Bacchus Management Group, which created Michelin-starred establishments such as The Village Pub in Woodside and Selby’s in Atherton, is behind the new San Jose restaurant.

— Porsche NOW is a new luxury vehicle sales concept that enables visitors to interact with the Porsche car brand.

Along with the retail leases, Santana Row has managed to add a string of office tenants and tech expansions in two of the mixed-use neighborhood’s office buildings:

— Cisco Systems will shift some workers and operations from San Francisco and north San Jose to Santana Row, moves that will increase the tech titan’s presence in the mixed-use neighborhood.

— Artificial intelligence firm Couchbase has leased 23,700 square feet in One Santana West, a new office building on South Winchester Boulevard across the street from Santana Row.

— PwC Group, a professional services giant, has leased 141,000 square feet at One Santana West.

— Acrisure, a fast-growing fintech, has leased 29,000 square feet at One Santana West.

Negotiations are underway to bring more office tenants to the new One Santana West office building in an attempt to fill up the workplace hub. One Santana West totals 376,000 square feet.

The Porsche NOW store is already open at Santana Row near the Hotel Valencia. Bluemercury and Augustine are slated to open during the Christmas shopping season in November or December.
