According to TheSuns, Greenridge, a family-owned company that makes meat and cheese, is being sued by the state of Illinois and the US government. They are accusing Greenridge of not paying its employees for the extra hours they worked. This is against the law.

An investigation found that Greenridge didn’t pay its employees for the overtime they worked. This is not fair to the employees who worked hard and deserve to be paid for their extra work. Because of this, Greenridge agreed to pay $3 million to fix the problem. The people who worked at Greenridge’s facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois between May 2019 and May 2022 are included in this lawsuit.
