The program is called Camino A Casa and it gives up to $30,000 to eligible individuals. But, there is a problem with this program. It is only for people who are not American citizens. This makes some people angry and they think it’s unfair.

Some politicians, like State Rep. Ed Diehl, are very upset about this program. They think it’s unfair to American citizens who want to buy a home. They also think it’s taking money away from people who need help the most. Oregon is having a big problem with housing, and many people don’t have a place to live. The state has even made special rules to try to solve this problem.
