According to ABCNews, Cecilia was a little girl when she came to the United States with her family from Mexico. But she didn’t have the right papers to stay here. She wanted to be a chemist, but she couldn’t go to school or get a job. She had to wait for a chance to fix her papers.
On Monday, Cecilia got an email from the government. She had applied for a special program that helps undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens get legal status. The program was announced by President Joe Biden, and it’s called “Keeping Families Together”. Cecilia’s application was approved, and she was thrilled!

From Hope to Reality: Cecilia’s New Life Begins
Cecilia is happy to have a chance to fix her papers and start her life again. She can now get a work permit and apply for permanent residency. She wants to own a home, have a good job, and raise her child with her husband. Cecilia is an example of how people can work hard and stay hopeful, even when things seem impossible.
