Pasadena, a suburb of Houston, is ranked 8th, with a population of 145,954 and a violent crime rate of 4.66 per 1000 persons.

Corpus Christi is ranked 4th, with a population of 317,694 and a violent crime rate of 6.40 per 1000 persons.

While these numbers are certainly concerning, they are still lower than many other cities in Texas.
