They took names, addresses, and Social Security numbers from many Americans. This is a problem because the hackers can now sell this information to other people.

The hackers are trying to sell this information for $3.5 million. Someone else also shared the information on a forum, which means many people have seen it. This is scary because people’s personal information is being shared without permission. We don’t know what the hackers will do with this information, but it’s possible they could use it to steal people’s identities.
