20-Year-Old Victim Found Dead at Scene; Shooter(s) Fled Before Deputies Arrived
(According to True Crime News,) actor Akili McDowell from “David Makes Man” was arrested this weekend for his alleged involvement in a fatal shooting in East Harris County. On July 20 deputies responded to a shooting at an apartment parking lot and found a 20-year-old man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities report that the shooter or shooters had left before deputies arrived.

McDowell Faces Murder Charge and $400,000 Bond; Investigation Continues
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed that McDowell 21 is charged with murder in the death of Cesar Peralta. He was arrested and is being held in Harris County Jail with a $400,000 bond. McDowell also had a previous theft charge from July 2023 on his record, adding to his legal troubles.
McDowell who appeared in “David Makes Man” “Billions” and “The Waterboyz” is now facing serious legal issues. The investigation is still ongoing as authorities try to determine the details of the shooting and McDowell’s involvement.
