Pennsylvania Man Receives Life Sentence for Murder of Girlfriend
Chapman Lured Victim with Fake Trip; Used Desert as Crime Scene
(According to Shore News Network,) John Matthew Chapman 44 from Pennsylvania has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his girlfriend Jaime Rae Feden. This sentencing ends a tragic case that started in September 2019. Chapman was convicted of kidnapping resulting in death. He deceived Feden by planning a house-hunting trip to Las Vegas but used the trip as a cover for a brutal crime in the Nevada desert.
Chapman tricked 33-year-old Feden into going with him on what he pretended was a romantic trip. Before the trip, he searched online for words like “dump” and “body” showing his bad intentions. In the desert Chapman tied Feden to a signpost with zip ties and used duct tape on her mouth and nose which caused her death.
