Tax Rebates Available in Pennsylvania to Help with Property Taxes and Rent
To help people during tough economic times several U.S. states are offering tax rebates. In Pennsylvania people who qualify can get between $380 and $1,000 to help with property taxes or rent. This is available to seniors, widows, and disabled residents with applications open until December 31. Governor Josh Shapiro said the rebate is crucial for those on fixed incomes and about 442,000 people received this help in July 2024, according to the report of Marca.
Missouri Offers Refunds and Washington Provides Incentives for Electric Vehicles
Missouri is helping residents with rising fuel costs by refunding gas expenses for highway travel. To get this refund and the vehicle must be under 26,000 lbs, and drivers need to fill out Form 4923-H. The application period is open until September 30.
In Washington, the state is encouraging people to buy electric vehicles (EVs) by offering up to $9,000 in tax rebates. To qualify buyers must earn 300% or less of the federal poverty level and purchase the EV from a dealership with at least two locations in the state or from a store that only sells EVs. Governor Jay Inslee said this program aims to make EVs more affordable and reduce the need for gasoline.
