Rachel Sabella from No Kid Hungry New York said this extra help can make a big difference for families struggling with food. Families should get their payments between August and October. Most will receive the money automatically if they already get SNAP, Temporary Assistance, Medicaid, or free or reduced school meals. Some families might need to apply for it.
