Amber Waterman Pleads Guilty to Kidnapping and Murder of Pregnant Woman
According to True Crime News, in a heartbreaking case, Amber Waterman, a 44-year-old woman from Missouri, admitted to kidnapping and killing Ashley Bush, who was pregnant. Amber Waterman had met Bush on Facebook and pretended to help her find a job. On October 31, 2022, Waterman took Bush, who was 31 weeks pregnant, in her truck, and Bush disappeared. After a thorough investigation, authorities found out Amber Waterman tried to claim Bush’s unborn baby as her own. They later discovered Bush’s body near Waterman’s home, wrapped in a tarp and partly burned.

Jamie Waterman Charged in Cover-Up of Amber Waterman’s Crime; Life Sentence Confirmed
Waterman’s husband, Jamie Waterman, was also involved in helping cover up the crime and was charged with assisting after the fact. The U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed Amber Waterman will receive a life sentence without the chance of parole. U.S. Attorney Teresa Moore stressed that the guilty plea ensures justice for the tragic loss of two innocent lives.
