Argument Over Unseasoned Chicken Erupts into Violent Confrontation in Georgetown County
Both Parties Arrested After Heated Fight Involving Knife and Bug Spray
According to True Crime News, in Georgetown County, South Carolina a dispute over unseasoned chicken led to a violent altercation between two people resulting in their arrest. On July 28 the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home on Cody Lane after reports of a fight in progress. The argument started when Hope Harper asked Anthony Harper why he didn’t season the chicken. Anthony replied that he knew how to cook and that their grandmother was supposed to handle the seasoning. The situation quickly escalated when Hope insulted Anthony causing him to push and punch her repeatedly.
As the argument grew more people got involved and the situation became more chaotic. A third person tried to break up the fight and a fourth person fired a shot into the ceiling with a 9 mm handgun to warn everyone to stop. In the middle of the commotion Hope grabbed a steak knife and tried to attack Anthony who then ran to another room. To protect himself Anthony used Raid bug spray on Hope’s face. Hope fought back by taking the spray can and using it against him.

Hope and Anthony Harper Face Assault Charges After Violent Dispute Over Chicken
Both Hope and Anthony Harper were charged with third-degree assault and battery. After their arrests, they were released on bond and intend to press charges against each other. The court records in Georgetown County show how their argument, which started over something as trivial as unseasoned chicken, led to a serious and violent confrontation.
