In Sacramento, 31-year-old Mandiko Kwadzo has been found guilty of killing his girlfriend, Carliena Clayton. The tragic incident happened nearly four years ago after witnesses heard gunshots during an argument at their home in West Sacramento. Clayton was putting her four children in a car when Kwadzo got in as a passenger.
The situation worsened when a bystander at Cliff’s Marina heard a gunshot and saw the car crash into the Sacramento River. He found Kwadzo near the sinking car but did not see him help Clayton or the children, aged 2 to 6. Clayton was found in the driver’s seat fatally shot in the head. Thankfully, the children were rescued by the bystander and his friend who called for help, according to the report of Black Enterprise.

Police discovered Clayton had been shot twice in the head. Kwadzo was arrested for murder though the weapon was never found.
