Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest of Suspects in Brownsville Dating App Attack
According to True Crime News, in Brownsville, Texas a disturbing incident unfolded involving several suspects including minors who allegedly used a dating app to lure and subsequently attack a man. The victim had arranged to meet someone he met online only to be ambushed by a group of armed individuals on June 29. According to reports from the Brownsville Police Department the assailants tied up the victim physically assaulted him and attempted to force him into the back of his own vehicle. They then drove him to an isolated area where the assault continued before leaving him stranded.
Law enforcement responded swiftly to the incident working to identify and apprehend those responsible. Two individuals linked to the attack are currently in custody awaiting formal charges. On July 9 Ernesto Jimenez aged 17 was arrested on charges including aggravated robbery aggravated kidnapping and engaging in organized criminal activity. Another minor was also taken into custody on July 16 in connection with the same crime although their identity remains undisclosed due to legal reasons.
