Isa Al Ahad, a 31-year-old man was sentenced to 26 years in prison. He had admitted to robbing two stores in DuPage County. One store was a Sprint store in Wheaton in 2019 and the other was a Verizon store in Hinsdale in 2022.

Ahad and his friend, Denzel Furance, went into the Sprint store on November 8, 2019. They forced the employees to tie each other up and open the safe. They took over $120,000 worth of things. Ahad was caught on November 24, 2019, and was let out of jail later. On June 16, 2022, he went into the Verizon store with a gun and threatened an employee. He was caught that same day in Ford Heights.
Ahad said he was guilty of two robberies with a gun on February 28. The judge gave him 21 years for one robbery and 26 years for the other. The sentences will run at the same time. Ahad’s friend, Denzel Furance, got 23 years in prison for his part in the crimes. The judge’s sentences show how serious the crimes were and how they hurt the people involved, according to the report of Daily Herald.
