According to the report of Marca, Governor Mike Dunleavy has announced that the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) for 2024 will be $1,718 for each eligible Alaskan. This is a bit more than the $1,655 approved earlier, due to extra money the state received after the fiscal year ended. The budget for this year also includes over $230 million in cuts.
To qualify for the Permanent Fund Dividend, you need to have lived in Alaska for the entire previous year and intend to keep living there. You can apply for the dividend from January 1 to March 31 each year. You can fill out your application online through the PFD website with a myAlaska account or submit a paper form. Once your application is submitted, you’ll receive a Confirmation Number to show that it’s complete.
