Magic City Discovery Center Teams Up with Museums for All to Expand Access to Learning
Discounted Entry Promotes Educational Exploration for Minot’s Youth
According to KXNET News, in Minot, North Dakota the Magic City Discovery Center has teamed up with Museums for All a program backed by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Their goal is to make learning available to kids from all backgrounds especially those from low-income families who receive SNAP benefits. The center offers a discounted entry fee of $3 for families who show their SNAP EBT cards aiming to encourage children to enjoy museums and develop a habit of learning that lasts a lifetime.
Abigal Arnold the marketing coordinator at the Magic City Discovery Center, stressed how important this partnership is to give all kids equal access to educational opportunities. She pointed out that museums are key in helping children learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). With 150 exhibits and 12 galleries the center provides an exciting place where kids can learn by doing and expand their knowledge.

This collaboration not only aims to make more people aware of local museums but also shows how museums can help kids grow and learn. As kids explore interactive exhibits and take part in STEAM classes like the upcoming Dala Horse workshop the Magic City Discovery Center remains a place where Minot kids can learn, create, and have fun.
