According to True Crime News, in a tragic incident near Fort Campbell 23-year-old U.S. Army soldier Pfc. Katia Duenas-Aguilar was found brutally murdered in her Clarksville apartment. The autopsy revealed a grim scene she had suffered nearly 70 stab wounds to her neck and upper body. Her death was confirmed as a homicide due to these severe injuries. Furthermore toxicology reports showed traces of the date rape drug GHB in her system along with a high blood alcohol level of 0.161. These findings have intensified the investigation into her death which happened around May 18.
Duenas-Aguilar was stationed at Fort Campbell and served with the esteemed 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). She began her military career in 2018 as an Information Technology Specialist earning commendations such as two Army Achievement Medals and the Army Good Conduct Medal for her dedicated service. Despite her promising career and achievements her life was tragically cut short leaving behind a devastated mother and a young son. Her funeral took place on May 31 in Mesquite, Texas, where she was laid to rest amidst heartfelt tributes and support from her community.

Community Seeks Closure: Calls for Justice Intensify in Pfc. Katia Duenas-Aguilar’s Murder Case
As the murder investigation continues her family alongside organizations has offered a $55,000 reward for information that could lead to the apprehension and conviction of the perpetrator to encourage individuals with relevant information to come forward and assist in seeking justice for her. While the community remains in mourning for the young soldier hoping that law enforcement will soon uncover the details of her tragic death.
