A rally for former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania turned tragic when a suspected shooter opened fire towards the stage where Trump was speaking. The Butler County Prosecutor confirmed that the shooter was neutralized by the Secret Service’s counter assault team. According to the Secret Service and the shooter fired from an elevated position outside the rally venue at approximately 6:15 p.m. prompting an immediate response from security personnel.
The shooting caused panic among attendees, resulting in one fatality and critical injuries to two others. The Secret Service’s tactical team swiftly engaged the shooter to protect Trump and the crowd preventing further harm.
During the incident, Trump sustained injuries when a bullet grazed the upper part of his right ear. Despite this, agents quickly escorted him to safety.
