Costco faces a $2 million class action lawsuit alleging false advertising of its Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes. Consumers claim the wipes damaged their plumbing and assert they wouldn’t have purchased them if aware of the alleged non-flushability. Despite ongoing sales, Costco has agreed to settle for $2 million emphasizing no admission of wrongdoing, according to the report of The US Sun.

Consumers who bought the wipes between July 1, 2011, and May 31, 2017 can claim compensation without proof of purchase. Payouts range from $7.50 to $55.90 per person based on packages bought. Claims must be submitted by August 9 with a final approval hearing on August 30.
