Chicago Police Investigate Armed Robbery as Suspects Remain at Large
According to ABC7 EYEWITNESS NEWS, in a troubling event that has raised alarms on Chicago’s Southwest Side two thieves executed a brazen armed robbery at a T-Mobile store in the Bridgeport neighborhood on Tuesday evening. According to Chicago police reports the robbery occurred just before 8 p.m. in the 3000-block of South Halsted Street. The suspects described only as male, entered the store and approached the clerks. One of the men brandished a handgun creating a tense and dangerous situation for everyone present while the other proceeded to take various items from the store. This violent act has left the local community shaken and on edge highlighting the vulnerability of both employees and customers during such incidents.
Fortunately no one was injured during the robbery. However the suspects escaped before police arrived leaving the community anxious. Area One detectives are investigating, but no further details or leads have been released yet keeping the public waiting for updates.
