Affordable Summer Fun – Middle Tennessee Museums Offer Reduced Rates for SNAP Families
According to the WKRN, families in Middle Tennessee who receive SNAP benefits can enjoy visiting local museums affordably this summer through the Museums for All program. Started in 2014, this initiative offers reduced or free admission to make educational experiences accessible to everyone. Participating museums like the Adventure Science Center and aMuse’um Columbia Children’s Museum charge as little as $2 or $3 per person for up to four people.
The program aims to help families, no matter their financial situation, explore and appreciate museums. By showing an EBT or WIC card along with a photo ID, eligible families can take advantage of these discounted rates all summer long. Museums for All has already served over 9 million people nationwide in over 1,300 museums, encouraging regular visits and building lasting connections to cultural places.
