According to NBC Los Angeles, a tragic incident at Fashion Island Mall in Newport Beach has left the community in shock. Patricia McKay, a 68-year-old visitor from New Zealand, was killed during a robbery attempt. She and her husband were leaving the mall when three men tried to rob them. One of the robbers fired a gun, and in the confusion, Patricia was hit by their getaway car.
