Bucks County Launches $10 Million Home Repair Initiative
Key Details of the Bucks County Home Repair Program
According to BUCKSCO.TODAY, Bucks County has launched a program to help low to moderate-income homeowners with essential home repairs. Starting July 1 the program will accept applications and provide grants of up to $50,000 per household. It aims to assist 120 to 150 homes by funding critical upgrades such as roofing plumbing, electrical systems heating and accessibility improvements like ramps and grab bars. These upgrades are intended to make homes safer and more comfortable especially for homeowners who may struggle financially.
Funding for BCHRP totals $10 million sourced from Pennsylvania’s Whole-Home Repair Program and local fiscal relief funds. Administered jointly by Capital Access Inc. and Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County the program is designed to improve living conditions and ensure homes remain suitable for occupancy. By providing crucial financial support BCHRP addresses the maintenance needs of homeowners who may struggle to afford necessary repairs independently. Applications for assistance must be submitted online by August 15 with an initial eligibility review slated for completion by August 6 to streamline the process.
