Missouri Woman Arrested for Poisoning Husband’s Diet Mountain Dew with Weed Killer
Video Evidence Shows Woman Repeatedly Adding Roundup to Husband’s Soda
According to the article of True Crime News, a 47-year-old woman from Missouri was arrested after being caught on video poisoning her husband’s Diet Mountain Dew with a weed killer. Michelle Peters’ husband first noticed his soda tasted strange in May but kept drinking it, which made him sick. He checked their garage video footage and saw Peters taking the soda inside with a bottle of Roundup weed killer, then putting the soda back in the fridge. In June, the husband, still feeling unwell, gave the video and the soda bottle to someone he trusted, afraid for his life. He replaced the soda in the fridge, but each time, Peters allegedly added weed killer to it. On June 23, more videos showed Peters putting the poison in the soda again. The husband told a detective about his fears but hadn’t seen a doctor yet.

Woman Admits to Poisoning Husband’s Soda Out of Spite, Faces Serious Charges
When the detective questioned Peters, she claimed she mixed the weed killer with soda after seeing the idea on Pinterest. However, she later confessed she poisoned her husband out of anger because he didn’t appreciate the birthday party she had organized for him. Peters is currently charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action and is being held without bond.
