During a court session that took place on Wednesday afternoon, Bryan Kohberger waived his right to a quick trial for the murder of four people in Idaho. As a result, the start date of the trial, which was initially scheduled for October 2, has been pushed back.

Trial for the Murder of Four People Delayed as Suspect Waives His Right
In a published report from Fox News, according to the Idaho Statesman, his attorney, Anne Taylor, requested the hearing to be held on Wednesday of this week. At the residence on King Road in Moscow, Idaho, there were a total of five people residing there, three of whom were identified as victims: Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Madison Mogen. On November 13, 2022, all four people were allegedly murdered by Bryan Kohberger, who allegedly entered the residence at around four in the morning. One of the victims, Ethan Chapin, was dating Kernodle at the time, and he was staying at the home at the time.
The Goncalves asked their Facebook friends to pray for them and their family on Wednesday, writing, “Please pray for our family today.” We are concerned that he will give up his right to a trial that is completed promptly. If he does, the trial won’t begin on October 2nd, and it’s highly possible that it won’t take place for several years after that. We are anxious for this trial to come to an end. “The very idea that it could be years brings me to my knees,” the family said in their letter.
