Peaceful Resolution After Standoff in Sanborn
According to KVRR Local News, police quickly responded to an armed robbery on College Street Northeast in Valley City, North Dakota in the early evening. They spoke with two victims who gave them important details about the suspects who had run away. The suspects were found soon after at a house in Sanborn just west of Valley City. The North Dakota Highway Patrol and Barnes County Sheriff’s deputies worked together to catch them.
Authorities surrounded the residence in Sanborn and attempted to establish communication with the suspects who initially refused to surrender. After a brief standoff however the suspects voluntarily exited the home and were taken into custody without incident. Police assured the public that there was no ongoing threat related to the incident. Meanwhile, the investigation into the armed robbery continues as law enforcement seeks to gather additional details about the circumstances and the individuals involved.
