In Houston and other cities, groups like Young Invincibles and Civic Nation are hosting clinics to help with student loans. They want to assist borrowers in enrolling in the SAVE Plan and other programs to lower payments. This is especially important for young minorities recovering from the effects of the pandemic.

Republican-Led States Reject SAVE Plan, But Houston Clinic Offers Expert Student Loan Assistance
However, some states run by Republicans have rejected the SAVE plan. Still, clinics like the one at The Montrose Center aim to support borrowers by offering training and one-on-one help with student loans. The clinic on Saturday will have sessions led by Federal Student Aid experts to aid borrowers in understanding and signing up for repayment plans.
