This classic musical, with music, lyrics, and a book by Jonathan Larson, choreography by Diana Baer, musical direction by Will Rich, and direction by Steve Bell, encourages us to measure our lives by the only thing that really matters: love.
RENT, a loose adaptation of Puccini’s La Bohème, chronicles a year in the life of a group of struggling young musicians and artists on New York City’s Lower East Side as they try to make a living and produce art in the wake of the AIDS epidemic.
This ground-breaking musical’s main thread is how these young bohemians resolve their differences, conflicts, and dreams. This is vivacious, passionate, and joyful theater at its finest.
