Clarksville crime rate dropped in 2022 to 69.7%, the fifth year in a row based on the report of Clarksville Now.
For the fifth year in a row now, the crime rate of Clarksville continues to decrease even if its population is still rapidly increasing.
Based on data reported by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Crime in Tennessee released this month, the crime rate in Tennessee decreased to 69.7% in major crime reports per 1,000 populace compared to 2021 which was 77.7%
This data marks a major decrease since 2007 in which per 1,000 populace the expected crime is 121. Since 2007, 16 years had passed until now that the crime rate of Clarksville decreased by 42%.

OTHER CRIMES IN CLARKSVILLE THAT ALSO DECREASED
Major crimes in Clarksville include murder, burglary, and drug charges.
Based on the data presented by TBI, murder cases in Clarksville reached to 15 in 2020 until 2021, but dropped to 10 in 2022.
The number of aggravated assaults in Clarksville also decreased. From 795 in 2020, it became 739 in 2021 and decreased to 704 in 2022.
As a whole, major cases in Clarksville decreased to 12,145 in 2022 from 12,769 in 2021.
