Traveon Hughes’s Negligence Leads to Tragic Death of Infant Son
Traveon Hughes was looking after his premature baby alone on June 25, 2022, when the tragic incident happened. He told authorities that he used a baby wipe as a bib and left his son alone for a short time. There were doubts about how long Traveon Hughes was away. When he returned, he found his son choking, so he called for help. Emergency workers tried to save the baby’s life but found a baby wipe stuck in his throat. Despite their efforts, Traveon Hughes Jr. was declared dead when he reached the hospital. Investigators later discovered that Traveon Hughes intentionally put the wipe in his son’s throat, leading to his death. Cleveland Police arrested Traveon Hughes on June 29, 2022, after uncovering these details.
