Ocala Police Discover Secret Cameras in Young Girl’s Bathroom and Bedroom
According to the published article in True Crime Daily, police have arrested 58-year-old John Butler for secretly placing cameras in his ex-girlfriend’s daughter’s bathroom and bedroom. The video voyeurism investigation started on May 17 when the girl’s mother found a hidden camera in an electrical outlet in the bathroom. The camera was blinking and pointed at the shower and toilet, which made her call the police immediately.

John Butler Arrested for Video Voyeurism After Hidden Cameras Found in Ex-Girlfriend’s Home
A few days later, on May 19, the police found another hidden camera in the girl’s bedroom. This camera was disguised as a Wi-Fi repeater that Butler had installed years ago. The mother told the police that Butler used to live with them when they were in a relationship. Butler was arrested at his workplace, Butler Insurance, for video voyeurism. He initially agreed to talk to the officers but later used his right to remain silent when asked about the cameras. Butler was taken to the Marion County Jail on May 22 and is waiting for his court proceedings.
