Salt Lake City, once highly regarded now ranks lower in the latest U.S. News and World Report. Previously at 23rd, it now stands at 58th among 150 populous metro areas. Criteria include job market, quality of life, value, net migration, and desirability causing residents to wonder why, according to the report of Fox 13 News.

Lindsey Faber, a longtime resident praises the city’s outdoor opportunities. However, studies reveal lower education scores and higher crime rates than similar cities. Salt Lake ranks 11th in danger surpassing Denver, Houston, and St. Louis.
