According to AP News, A former Memphis police officer, Patric J. Ferguson, is in trouble. A former Memphis police officer was accused of doing bad things while on duty. Another person, Joshua M. Rogers, who is not a cop, is also involved. Former Memphis police officer and Rogers are accused of doing things to cover up a shooting.

Federal Charges Added to State Case
Prosecutors say a former Memphis police officer took a man while he was working and shot him in the head. Then, he and Rogers got rid of the body together. Rogers sold the car they used to move the body to hide the evidence. Ferguson and Rogers were already facing charges in state court. Now, they’re facing more charges in federal court. They were out of jail before, but it’s unclear if they’re back in jail now. Ferguson’s lawyer knew about the new charges but didn’t say much. Rogers’ lawyer hasn’t said anything yet.
